Galaxy S25 Ultra`s S Pen No Longer Features Bluetooth

The news that Samsung will remove the Bluetooth feature from the S Pen in the Galaxy S25 Ultra has been confirmed. This means that the S Pen will no longer perform certain remote functions.

With the removal of Bluetooth, the S Pen can no longer control specific apps remotely. For instance, the feature that allowed users to take photos remotely using the pen, especially in the camera app, was appreciated by many. Additionally, the Air Commands feature, which enabled users to perform actions by moving the pen, is now also unavailable.

"Removed Due to Low User Adoption"

Samsung justifies this decision by stating that the Air Commands feature was used by less than 1% of its users. The company also claims that removing Bluetooth support will make the S Pen more durable and lightweight.

Removing Bluetooth will undoubtedly save costs for Samsung. Moreover, by eliminating components like the charging coil required to charge the pen inside the phone, the company can optimize internal space.

Although this decision seems logical for Samsung, it is likely to upset users who regularly relied on the S Pen's advanced features.
